About
From my small studio nestled in the Sussex countryside, I spend my days turning beautiful yarns into bold, playful and ‘ever-so-comfy’ comfy things. Because there’s cool, and there’s cosy-cool.
Halda Hita took its first warm breath in 2018, when I set out to do something a little differently in knitwear; to turn you all into designers, and bring fun and flexibility to the process of buying accessories for the colder months.
I started with beautifully bold signature scarves for the winter months and I’ve since expanded the range to offer scarves for all seasons, plus much-requested hats. Each product is made with care on a hand powered domestic knitting machine.
Bold stripes, simple but striking patterns and soft high quality yarns are at the core of what I do. I believe in caring for clothes and wearing them for longer, and I love that a new accessory can bring an existing outfit up to date and make it look fresh and different.

Bespoke
Yarn that doesn’t cost the earth
I only use the finest Italian merino wool and it’s the best available. No harmful dyes, chemicals or production processes, and absolutely no cheap labour are used in the production of the yarn. From start to finish, the merino wool yarn is processed under strict ECO/ISO standards that keeps waste and environmental impact to a minimum, and sourced from suppliers that comply with the highest ethical standards. We’re into people warming, not global warming.
Our global footprint
The only big impact we want to make is with the bold, colourful stripes and patterns that we set free into the world. To keep our footprint and trade routes as small and direct as we can, we buy our yarn from a family-run UK supplier that sources their Merino wool from Italy, which comes from Merino sheep in New Zealand.
From the beautifully illustrated boxes right down to the little wooden tags sewn onto each item, everything needed to bring you your finished piece comes from UK suppliers.
